planned giving

One of the best ways that you can provide safety, hope and opportunity for Arizona’s at-risk girls is to ensure that Florence Crittenton’s programs and services will be available for generations to come.  And, planned giving is a great way to do just that!

How Can I Help?

Through planned giving, your donation creates a lasting legacy of support for girls in need and delivers benefit to your future too.

Your Planned Gift to Florence Crittenton May:

  • Return substantial tax benefits
  • Potentially increase your income
  • Provide a way of fulfilling your personal and financial goals

To learn more about how planned giving affects your unique financial situation, please consult your financial planner or professional tax advisor.

Ways to Give
There are many ways you can give to Florence Crittenton and support our mission of service:

  • A Simple Bequest or Codicil – Simply put, a bequest is a gift made through your will.  You may include a bequest when you have a new will prepared, or ask your attorney to prepare a codicil to your existing will.  Either way, it is a simple way to include Florence Crittenton in your estate plans.

  • Named Beneficiary of an Insurance Policy, IRA or 401K – An easy way to support Florence Crittenton’s future is to name us as the beneficiary (or partial beneficiary) of a life-insurance policy or a retirement plan.

  • Charitable Gift Annuity – A charitable gift annuity allows you to support the mission of Florence Crittenton while providing a lifetime income for yourself.  The amount of income received is determined by the value of the gift and the annuity rate.  The annuity rate is determined by the donor’s age at the time the gift is made.  Once a person passes away, the remaining principal of their annuity then passes to Florence Crittenton and benefits those we serve.

  • Charitable Remainder Trust – In a charitable remainder trust the donor creates a trust and donates an asset to it.  The trust then pays the donor an agreed-upon annual rate of interest for an agreed-upon length of time.  Part and parcel of this are several tax benefits that accrue to the donor.  When the donor passes away, the trust reverts to Florence Crittenton.

  • Charitable Lead Trust – With a charitable lead trust the income from the trust each year goes to Florence Crittenton, and when the donor passes away, the trust goes to his or her estate.  Again, there are some very positive tax consequences.

Become a partner with Florence Crittenton by making a planned gift today – it truly is a WIN-WIN situation that creates a legacy of safety, hope and opportunity.
