How It Works
Hundreds of girls have the opportunity to join and participate on a Girl Action Team at their school or in their community. Each team is paired with two adult female coaches to guide and support the Team through the process of identifying a challenge in their community and designing and implementing a creative solution to address that issue.
Girls Action Teams consisting of 5-30 girls and two adult female volunteers. The Girl Action Team meets once per week for 12 weeks to identify an issue they want to see change, determine the root cause of that issue, and then design and implement a solution through a social change project.
Girls For A Change is a social change program that supports girls in fully developing their voice, ability and problem-solving capacity to realize their full potential. The program:
- Values girls as powerful and unique resources for creating social change

- Reinforces the process of creating social change

- Empowers girls to be innovative, risk-taking and visionary to make change in their communities
